Hisence 4k-Uhd TV

11/23/2020 at 16:00 Updated: 11/24/2020 11:35 AM Sergey Svetlichny Sergey Svetlichny Hisense, one of the largest electronics manufacturers in China, has been officially supplying its TV models to the Ukrainian market for several years. Today we are reviewing the flagship model of the 2020 line, the 55-inch Hisense 55U8QF. Hisense 55U8QF has thin bezels around the screen - only half a centimeter of a dark gray strip. An interesting design solution - the protective glass is not “recessed” into the frame and is not made on the same level with it, but as if “glued” from above, so that it protrudes slightly beyond the frame. After switching on, an additional indent appears around the image of about the same size, so that as a result, the picture is framed by a frame about 1 cm wide - with such a TV diagonal, it is visually perceived as very narrow and not at all striking. But the strip covered with black fabric under the screen turns out to be unusually wide, as for modern TVs - it hides the forward-facing speakers of the speaker system. A leg with a boomerang-shaped bas Hisence 4k-Uhd TV e is used as a stand, the span of "paws" of which is somewhat smaller than that of the recently widespread "legs" along the edges of the case - so, if necessary, this TV can be placed on a rather compact cabinet. At the back of the stand there is a special niche covered with a decorative cover, through which the connected cables can be passed and thus hidden from the audience. There is also the possibility of wall mounting - on the back you can find a VESA 400x300 mount. The thickness of the Hisense 55U8QF case is relatively large - up to 8 cm at the bottom. This is caused by the use of a full-fledged backlight, which significantly increases the dimensions compared to the cheaper edge. All connectors are in two blocks, oriented to the side and back. Basically there are three HDMI 2.0 ports with support for a 4K @ 60 Hz signal, two USB 2.0 connectors (0.5 A), two antenna sockets (one for cable or digital terrestrial television, and one for a satellite signal), as well as an interface for the module conditional access. One of the HDMI ports supports ARC, which allows you to output multichannel audio from streaming services to external speakers. The second block contains an Ethernet port, a digital optical audio output, another HDMI port and, somewhat unexpectedly, a composite video input with analog stereo audio. In addition to Ethernet, you can also connect to the Hisense 55U8QF home network via Wi-Fi (802.11ac, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz are supported). The TV comes with a traditional remote control - it is medium in size, with a large number of buttons, including a digital block. The case is aluminum, fits well in the hand. The buttons have a rather unusual "embossed" shape, due to which they are easily groped blindly, pressed easily and distinctly. The remote is connected via Bluetooth, so it does not need to be pointed towards the screen when controlling the TV; it also has a built-in microphone, which allows you to use voice search when navigating. At the bottom of the remote control there are dedicated buttons for clients of popular streaming services, as well as launching the built-in media player for local content. As a "smart" shell, the TV uses its own platform - VIDAA U4. This is a new version of the system, introduced in early 2020, and has a completely redesigned user interface. It now looks very similar to the Android TV launcher: system icons in the upper left corner (search, notifications, video input selection, user profile) and streams of installed applications and recommended content below them. We use our own VIDAA Store to install applications, where clients of popular streaming systems (YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video) are available, there are also local services - MEGOGO, Oll.tv, Volia, etc. From proprietary applications, we note VIDAA Art - a constantly updated catalog of photos and images, created in partnership with the well-known resource DeviantArt, which can be used as a screensaver, and VIDAA Free - a selection of free video content from various sources. The built-in media player plays 10-bit 4K video, supports the h265 codec, can decode Dolby Digital, DD and DTS audio tracks, and also displays text subtitles. The system's performance is sufficient to play the heaviest video without slowdowns (in our tests, the player coped with over 150 Mbps bitrate without any problems). https://jiji.com.et/arada/tv-dvd-equipment/hisence-4k-uhd-tv-1D3aQKVsvEQjkLUUelmxlxvx.html
