Headsets in Uganda
This term has other meanings, see Headphones (meanings).
Headphones - a device for personal listening to music, speech or other sound signals. Complete with a microphone, they can serve as a headset - a means for negotiating on the phone or other means of voice communication. In addition, headphones are used in recording studios for precise control of the recorded track of a musical composition.
The name "headphones" is colloquially synonymous with the term "headphones". The name "telephone" (telephone, from the Greek tele - far away, and phone - sound) was first used by Philipp Reis in 1861. And in 1899, in one of the first radio receivers created by Popov, sound frequency oscillations converted from radio signals, according to the description, were listened to through headphones. Since the receivers were assembled not only in Russia and not only from Russian components, the naming of headphones as “headphones” most likely arose from a literal reading of Headsets in Uganda the English term headphones (English head is a head, phone is a telephone).[1]The main technical characteristics are: frequency range, sensitivity, impedance, maximum power and distortion level as a percentage.
In headphones, each ear perceives sounds coming exclusively from the emitter designed specifically for that ear, which leads to a slightly different sound and, possibly, to increased fatigue. Prolonged use of headphones at high volumes can lead to partial hearing loss and may even lead to deafness. The uneven frequency response and the presence of resonant frequencies have a negative effect on the hearing organs, since the listener adjusts the volume by perceiving the main frequency spectrum, neglecting the resonant one.
There is also a risk that the headphones will miss an important sound signal, for example, when driving on the road, both by drivers (hence why many countries impose restrictions on the use of headphones by drivers of vehicles) and pedestrians, which can cause a traffic accident.
