It is important that the literature review considers the literature relevant to the research topic and justifies the choice of this particular literature. Literary review can be included in the introduction or stand out as an independent chapter. By the way, the chapter does not have to be called "Literature Review". It could be “Theory”, or the title could be associated with the basic concepts of the work, for example, “Classification of lullabies motives” or “The u Research & Survey CVs in Kenya se of antonyms in modern English”. As a rule, if a literary review becomes part of the introduction, then it does not exceed three thousand characters and describes only the key works that are the theoretical framework of the research. Take a look at this example. This is a literature review from a bachelor's thesis in cultural studies. In it, the author describes two articles that contain opposite points of view on the problem considered in the study. The author does not try to retell these articles in detail, because he includes a literary review in the introduction. “In general, the positions of researchers can be divided into two conditional groups. The first group includes studies in which the authors' attention is focused on the pragmatics of abandoning the policy of “indigenous”. The second group includes studies that analyze the consequences of abandoning the “indigenous” policy for schools of national minorities. The authors of these works are inclined to negatively assess the actions of the Soviet government in relation to the Soviet educational policy of the period of refusal to "indigenous". Below we describe two of the most illustrative examples from each group. 1. Timofey Dmitriev (2013) "This is not an army: national military construction in the USSR in the context of the Soviet cultural and national policy (1920s – 1930s)." The article analyzes the pragmatics of rejecting the policy of "indigenousization", which was associated with the fact that the Soviet army could not function effectively without a single language: conscripts from different regions of the USSR, finding themselves in the same army, not only did not understand each other due to the fact that that in their schools only the languages of the titular nations were taught, but they could not follow the orders of the military authorities. 2. MM Gibatdinov (2003) "Teaching the history of the Tatar people and Tatarstan in the secondary school: history and modernity." The author describes in detail how the status of history in the Tatar school changed, as well as examines the consequences of abandoning the policy of "indigenousization" and what impact this had on the position of the Tatar language and the history of Tatarstan in the educational program ”. If within the framework of your research it makes sense to single out the literature review in a separate chapter, then it is necessary to describe in more detail the most important works for your research. In any case, we recommend that you follow a few rules in order to write a high-quality literary review. As you may have noticed, a literature review can be structured in several ways. This may include: - comparison of the points of view of several authors on the problem that the study is devoted to; - a detailed analysis of the fundamental work for your research, listing several more less important publications on the topic; - consideration of the most up-to-date publications on the topic.
