The company was founded by Yataro Iwasaki in 1873 and at the beginning of the last century it turned into the largest company. At first, the Mitsubishi campaign concentrated on the construction and repair of ships, as well as on the aviation industry, which was the company's central activity until the end of World War II.
The first Mitsubishi car was released in 1917, bu 1995 Mitsubishi Pajero t in general, in the automotive industry, the company initially specialized in the production of buses, the first of which was diesel. After 1947, Mitsubishi began installing electric motors on its buses. The production of cars was resumed starting from the 1950s, when the export of cars to Europe was also started. Already in 1960, the first Mitsubishi 500 model rolled off the assembly line. In 1970, the production of the well-known Mitsubishi Galant and Mitsubishi Lancer models to this day was launched. In 1983, the company's engineers developed an electronic vehicle suspension system. Around the same time, the famous Mitsubishi Lancer Fiore (better known as the third version), based on the Mitsubishi Mirage, was launched. In Australia, this model was called the Mitsubishi Colt Sedan. So during this period, Mitsubishi had two models of the same class, which also competed in the same market segment. In 1983, the Lancer and Mirage models were finalized to the third generation. Modifications were created with a turbocharger and an injector. In 1985, a station wagon body modification was created, which later turned into an all-wheel drive model.
